Drapers Place Opening by the Duke of Gloucester

On June 14th, HRH The Duke of Gloucester came to Drapers Place, as Vice Patron of the Almshouses Association, to formally open the new almshouses. He was greeted by Sir Algernoon Heber-Percy, The Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire and The Master of The Shrewsbury Drapers, Dr Ashley Fraser before being introduced to Drapers, Residents and Donors. After visiting apartments, the Duke of Gloucester took tea with residents of all the almshouses before unveiling a plaque commemorating the occasion.
