Radio Shropshire Interview and responses on the Queen's Award for Volunteering

Letter of congratulations from our local MP

Following the announcement of The Queen's Award for Volunteering to the Shrewsbury Drapers, as part of their series on volunteering week, BBC Radio Shropshire's Jim Hawkins talked to John Crackett about the award, the Drapers Company and their work in the community.

John commented that its the first award the Drapers Company have received in 570 years and only the second time the sovereign has been involved-the last being in 1462 when the Royal Charter was granted.
