Fairford resident, Eric Blackie responded to a call from Shropshire Radio on Friday 8th May to celebrate VE Day by parading the Royal Airforce Association Standard. Standard bearers across Shropshire took their orders over the radio from the British Legion Warrant Officer and standards were lowered for the two minutes silence at 11 o'clock.
